Highland Scoundrel

Highland Scoundrel - Monica McCarty no rating because I didn't really read it. I read the first 30 pages then gave up. I really don't like Monica McCarty's widows. Widow heroines are already not my favorite and McCarty's widows somehow are worse for me. They seem so.....matronly. Maybe the problem is again the fact that they are not just widows but also mothers. I don't know what it is in her writing that gives me this matronly impression. I keep imagining my aunts as the heroine and it just crakcs me up.
