my first romance novella. I never was much for short stories. I like to stay with the characters for a bit. The story is sweet but way too short for me. I didn't really want to know about Meredith's struggles in her first marriage. or how Burke and Meredith met and fell in love 10 years ago. Here and now eh, what's happening here and now? I think the problem was not that the story was only a novella. The problem was that in 100 pages we only get to read about maybe 30 pages of the current days of the main characters. Well they finally had sex for the first time after 10 years and Meredith's brother refused to let them marry. and they fought for their future and lived happily ever after....that was it.
i finished the 100 page book in 30 minutes.
